Miso Glazed Salmon
Miso adds the perfect hit of flavor to this lovely roasted salmon. Pair with greens beans as I've done here or your favorite green vegetable. This is an easy, delicious one-pan meal quick enough for a weeknight and beautiful enough for your fanciest party.
Ingredients
- 1 tablespoon maple syrup or honey
- 1 tablespoon white miso or brown miso
- 1 tablespoon rice vinegar unsweetened
- 2 teaspoons gluten free soy sauce
- 1 large clove garlic pressed or grated
- 4 small salmon filets skin on
- 12 ounces green beans or your favorite green vegetable
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1/4 teaspoon sesame oil optional
- 1 pinch kosher salt
- 1 pinch ground black pepper
- 1 pinch red pepper flakes optional
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 400 degrees
- Grab your White Miso - you can find this is most large grocery stores and your favorite Asian Market
- Mix together the Miso, rice vinegar, soy sauce and garlic in a small bowl
- Give it a stir to incorporate the miso and garlic
- Assemble the salmon filets on a large platter and sprinkle with salt and pepper
- Cover the salmon filets with the miso sauce and let marinade for 15 minutes or so
- Place the green beans in a large bowl and add the olive oil, sesame oil, salt, pepper and red pepper flakes
- Arrange the marinated salmon filets and green beans on a sheet pan covered with parchment paper and bake for 15-20 minutes until just done - the salmon should be firm to the touch with a little give
- Serve with rice or a nice crusty bread and sprinkle with cilantro if you like. This one's a winner!
