Fan Favorite

I enjoy many chef’s work and read cookbooks like regular people read mystery novels. Once in a while, though I get a little star struck. I have come to respect and admire Andrea Nguyen over the last few years. Her new book called Vietnamese Food Any Day has become dog eared and covered with sauce stains – proof of it’s delicious recipes and great stories.

Ms. Nguyen is also incredibly generous with her time and has responded to a few Twitter and Instagram questions from me over the last year. ( And yes, I’m choosing to believe it’s actually her and not a 21-year old intern managing her social media accounts). Needless to say, I’m a huge fan.

One of my favorite recipes from the book is this No-Churn Vietnamese Coffee Ice Cream. Rich, creamy and full of flavor – You’ll become a huge fan too. I made a couple of changes to her recipe to incorporate ingredients I had on hand and it turned out beautifully.

Creamy Coffee Collaboration

I invite you to give this a try for all the coffee lovers in your house. If you have a chance, pick up her cookbook too as all the recipes are fabulous!

  1. If you’re thinking of making this, just make it! A texture that reminded me of gelato, not too sweet, great coffee flavor. A very nice dessert.

    1. Thanks, Steve.

I was pleasantly surprised the first time I made it too – so easy and delicious!
