Vegetarian Chili with Butternut Squash

This smokey, hearty chili will please everyone in your house. It's vegetarian, vegan, paleo and, of course, gluten free. This chili is a nice addition to the table for those of you observing Lent too.

Bone Broth

Homemade bone broth is one of my favorite things. It's rich in minerals that support the immune system and contains healing compounds like collagen, glutamine, glycine and proline. The collagen in bone broth heals your gut lining and reduces intestinal inflammation. I use it as a base for soups, in stir fry and as a wonderful warm medicine whenever I'm feeling under the weather.

Squash Soup with Sage and Pumpkin Seed Oil

This savory, comforting soup is the perfect way to celebrate beautiful winter squash. I incorporated sage, thyme and my Austrian Black Gold (pumpkin seed oil) to create a delicious, toasty soup that's wonderful for a holiday or just a weeknight at home. This hearty, delicious soup is perfect for lunch or dinner. The flavors get even better the second day. I love to make this soup a winter Sunday afternoon, serve it for dinner and pack the leftovers for lunch.
