Barbecue Sauce
Easy, delicious BBQ sauce you can use on everything

- 1 cup ketchup I like Heinz
- 2/3 cup apple cider vinegar or 1/2 cup if you like a less vinegary sauce
- 1 tablespoon Dijon mustard
- 1/2 cup brown sugar
- 1 teaspoon ground cumin
- 2 teaspoons smoked paprika
- 1 pinch kosher salt
- 1 pinch ground black pepper
Place all ingredients into a small, heavy saucepan
Stir to combine and heat to a low boil
Reduce heat and simmer for 10 minutes - taste and adjust the seasonings
Slather on your favorite grilled chicken, ribs or pork - at the end of their grilling time or the sauce will burn
Let the chicken (or other meat) rest for a few minutes when done. Store the remaining BBQ sauce in the fridge for up to a week
Enjoy with your favorite sides and a nice glass of white wine (or beer, or soft drink)
