This easy, quick sauce is perfect with your Thanksgiving turkey and your favorite chicken or pork. It adds wonderful flavor to those leftover sandwiches too. This sauce is tart on purpose, but if you like yours a little sweeter, just add more sugar

  1. Zest the lemon with a Microplane (or use a vegetable peeler and chop the pieces finely)
  2. In a medium saucepan, combine the cranberries, sugar, lemon zest, orange juice and cinnamon stick
  3. Bring the mixture to a boil
  4. Reduce to a simmer and cook until the cranberries are soft - about 10-15 minutes
  5. Transfer the mixture to a bowl, remove the cinnamon stick and let cool
  6. Store in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to a week
  7. Serve with a little lemon zest on top - or just as is. Enjoy with your Thanksgiving delights!
